Our People
The people who make up our teams are intelligent,
motivated individuals who have a passion for the
work we do here to support our customers. Our project
teams hire well rounded organized managers, extraordinary
architects, talented developers, detail-oriented
quality engineers, and savvy analysts, which ensures
successful delivery of seamless solutions.
Our Culture
Our work environment is fast paced, cutting
edge, challenging, and satisfying. The atmosphere
is conducive to creativity and innovation. Our leadership
fosters a strong, cohesive team environment and
places high value on individual contribution, creativity
and new ideas. Our Business Model
CellExchange’s collaborative business model
ensures a positive culture and prides itself on
encouraging its employees the opportunity to take
part in a dynamic, cohesive, team oriented organization.
Our Technology
Innovative thinking to deliver our projects requires
a constant push to explore more robust, often
times cutting edge, technologies. As we incorporate
emerging technologies to improve business processes,
we walk on the forefront of industry. We blend
open-source and COTS products to achieve optimal
return for our customers. This is how we differentiate
ourselves and continue to add value to our clients.
Our software development methodology is derived
from unified process. We have incremental, iterative,
spiral development. The CellExchange Architecture
Framework [CXAF] seeks to balance the information
model with the data model, as bound by the quality
and functional models. We follow component based
development and use services and events in an
approach based on Service Oriented Architecture.
Our development and deployments span multiple
tiers on J2EE and .NET platforms. We work with
Oracle, DB2, mySQL, SQLServer databases. We have
programs that use various application servers:
Websphere, BEA, Oracle, JBOSS and Tomcat. Our
portal efforts also embrace open-source projects
like Liferay and Apache Pluto. Spring and Hibernate
are common practices. Our presentation layer is
no stranger to AJAX. Likewise, you will find yourself
using Struts or JSF with Tiles. Web services and
messaging is built-into our architecture framework
[CXAF]. Technologies like Google Maps API, JFreeChart,
Sarissa, and Alfresco, are a sampling of those
we work with at CellExchange.
When the readily available products or technologies
just won’t cut it, we build our own. This
includes a cutting-edge Active Enterprise Service
Bus, a pluggable XML Replication Engine to synchronize
hundreds of global data locations, and a security
event Correlator to evaluate and act on potential
threat risks to the homeland. Proper use of technology
is also about knowledge sharing and effective
re-use. Ask about our Geek Speak forum, where
engineers share knowledge about new approaches
to tough problems. Creating and building on resident
expertise is simply part of how we do work.
